I don't live there so it's hard to tell - but what do Americans think about this compared to Vietnam?
The Vietnam war started almost a whole cultural revolution of protest and the "free love" movement along with influential and anti-establishment politics carried through to music and the mainstream.
Do you feel as Americans that this type of counter culture is establishing itself in America? Or is it there and the government/corporate media has figured out how to control it/hide it or contain it?
From the outside it looks as though this movement it struggling to establish itself - Cindy Sheehan was a hopeful figurehead for its establishment but I can say I haven't heard anything else in the media for a while, but who can trust the corporate media?
