all you have to do is have a fast enough processor and expandibility. most software is cross platform, as are the output files (mostly EPS, TIFF) for print...
There is much more 'amateur' help for your PC, and MACs are only pretty to look at.
Its a close match, but i'd say go for processor and expansion only.
