if you can get to a pc shop you can build your own.
i built my first one like 3 years ago and it was easier than i expected.
the dude behind the desk pointed me in the right direction and it went together without a hitch.
either that or you know what, dells are good. i've worked on 2 dell laptops and at work now have a dell precision 340 2 ghz p4 with 2g ram. works fine. doesn't look at good sitting next to my dual 2g g5 sitting next to it though.
