I was 16 and it was my first job, I was a sacker there and did other things, stocking, cleaning, etc.
Me and these other guys would hide behind the double doors to the dairy section, where people were just a few feet away, and we'd meow real loudly, or make it sound like a cat fight. Sometimes customers would come into the back of the store looking around, we'd have all these hiding areas to duck into, it was like a fort sometimes.
One day I was meowing all by myself. Later that day I was in the back trying to cut the sleeves off this sweater I found in the trash, to kind of punk it out. My boss came out from behind a box and saw me, and asked if I was back there meowing.
I swear to God I said "Yah, we do that to entertain the customers."
He told me he had a customer who wasn't too entertained, and said she was never shopping there again because of a cat.He fired me for it. I was actually a really good employee, he must have been super mad. I wish I had a copy of the termination form, it actually said: Reason for termination: "Was meowing like a cat at people."
LOL, still makes me laugh.
