I have had a couple of these viewsonic monitors for over 4 years. P220f. they are 22" and have really come down in price since the lcds have become so popular.

since then they have upgraded to a better model P225f or g220f is the name now for the graphic series.

they are both below your budget.
I have used lacie at work and they are really nice too but not worth the extra cash.
