I have a great story about a girl looking for the Dirty Dancing movie in a store. She is the former roommate of a friend of mine. True Story!
Here is goes.
She walks into an electronic store to get Dirty Dancing on VHS because she only have a VCR at home. She asks a sales guy for it, but he says they only have it on DVD. The girl tells him she don't have a DVD player at home, only a VCR. The guys then tells her about this good offer they have on DVD players, she can get one for only $6 a month over 48 months and she jumps on the deal right away.
The sales guy then asks what TV she have, because the DVD player requires a Scart plug to work. She only have a old TV with the antenna plug, and ask him if there is another solution. He shows her a Sony 30" 16:9 and it only cost $40 a month, and with they DVD player she can get a really good $45 deal and the movie for free. But she lives on the 5th floor downtown Copenhagen and don't wanna carry a 40+ kg tv up all those stairs.
The sales guys them throws in his Ace! He tells her, she can get one of these nice new 42" flat screen tv's that only weight 15 kg for only $100 a month or a $140 with a DVD player, surround sound system and movie all incl. delivered to the door free of charge.
She likes the deal and sign it.
She came for Dirty Dancing on tape and walked out with a 42" Flatscreen with dvd player and surround sound system and will end up paying almost 7 grand for it over the next 48 months for it.
It's a nice system she got, played PS2 on it lots of times, but damn..pricey!!
