Just got back in Phoenix yesterday and could not believe that Coeur D'Alene was so beautiful.
We stayed up in Black Rock which is about 20 min to Coeur D'Alene. The "Cabin" we stayed in was a 1.5 million dollar cabin that my in-law's boss owns.
The golf course was within walking distance and apparently also appears in the Tiger Woods game. I'm not much if a golfer so that didn't appeal to me but I could appreciate the views.
There were deer all around in the early hours of the morning and an elk farm not too far away. Very rural area.
In town there were Galleries, antique shops, used & rare book stores, glass blowing studios, and local restuarants & pubs. Just had to pick up some books and jewelry for the Mrs.'s.
A lot of laid-back-type things to do. It was nice to get away from the hussle of city life.
Crazy to see the difference in people as well. I mean, you could actually make eye contact with people and they would greet you as you walked by or strike up a conversation.
If anyone is given the chance to go, take it.
