yes...this has totally gone to hell...i was very excited. i think i would have received the book by this time if people kept to the 2 day rule.
i remember the "it book" that went around the world, it was very successful it had managerial people who kept track of the bookm in each area and they would make sure the book went on its way, if an artist flaked the book was taken away even if they were in the middle of sketches, rules are rules in order to keep the flow constant!!!
i see how its fustrating for you as you already drew your piece into the book, why should someone else keep your art?
who has the book?? has there been a reason for the bbook to not be sent out? is there someone in the area where the book is currently that can go and pick it up since the person who has it flaked???
there is so many ways around this and since so much time has passed maybe questioning every person's motives should be handled to see if they too will flaake and need to be removed from the list so the book doesnt hit anymore slowdowns with people that dont consider their perssonal lives and the lives of the 49 other artists.
i think the reality is that if you offer an escape path you can drain out the ones that wont follow thru among all 3 volumes and really have 1 book with 50 artists who are dedicated!!!!
its almost like NTPE2, i love what i have already and i am not complaining cept forthe fact that everyone did agree to the deadlines, but yet i still dont have soooooo many prints!!!!
if you as an artist acccept resposibility and dont follow thru well you as an artist have now received a strike to your reputation. its simple, i myslef wouldnt want to werk wtih flaky people!!!
thats why there needs to be more structure in handling the send out proceddures of the book keeping it on track with the deadlines!
