  In Britain you can no longer legally buy ANY handgun, if you want a rifle you must belong to a rifle club and be strictly vetted, want a shotgun you'd better be a farmer basically...

  of course that's if you're bothered about buying them legally..... criminals still have no difficulty getting their paws on them...
