oh, actually, that could be the problem. my G5 at work is complete crap for some reason. maybe after activating my font next time, i'll wait to see if it'll recognize it later. but if it takes longer then 5 minutes, then it sort of defeats the purpose no? hahaha, might as well restart.
and yes, font book, suitcase and linotype all work the same in the same that they are all type managers, but MAN O MAN!!! linotype is a freakin' porche when it comes to loading up all my fonts, AND I MEAN ALLLLLLLLL 3000 plus fonts. and that is nasty for previewing fonts before activation. best damn font manager so far.
