Actually, no you don't have to be a judge before to be appointed to the Supreme Court. There's tons of precedent throughout American history on that. Google it or go to wikipedia and you'll see I'm right...
That said. she's a total Bush Crony..what a hatchet job...the funny thing is that all of Bush's radical right supporters are screamin blue murder at this - go check out the republican blogs...they wanted an old white guy who would beat down feminazis and abortion and appoint Christianity as the official state religion..and they got an old single white woman who gave money to the Gore campaign...They are pissed...
