It's ALWAYS worth chasing clients for money. This signed contract thing is irrelevent as they are just as likely not to pay with or without a client.
The fact you got paid a first installment, have all correspondence and they have not disputed any your future invoices or the work you submitted under those invoices, means that you're in the right.
I would look into charging them interest (obviously you should inform them) and then if they don't pay look into debt collection agencies or pehaps even going and getting A CCJ against them, which may seem alot of work, but really isn't that much hassle at all and is also pretty cheap to do.
