Got back from Maui a couple of months ago. Insanely beautiful and worth every penny. We stayed on the northwest corner of the island. Kahana. Decent hotels and condos for reasonable prices.
The island is extremely diverse in habitat. Makes for great biking, hiking, helicopter tours, etc.
Well worth it. I'm going back as soon as my piggy bank fills up again.
