I find the description a bit hard to read. I didn't really see them until a bit later. At first glance they looked like part of your screen shot. Maybe you should make the background a bit darker?
usability wise. i'm not sure if it's successful. It just takes too long to get to the work. I think the drop downs are cool, but only if you have a shit load of work. I like the 2005 and 2004 pages where it just shows all your work.
