much better in snow. esp if you have a frame that can take knobbies.
makes your problem-solving skills better and your reaction time faster
VASTLY improves road/mtb riding skill. you will be pedaling through shit that you NEVER thought possible before. (same with 20"ers. take 4'-5' jumps on one of those and you WILL be smoother. or you will go to the hospital.)
makes you stronger. you will sore at first, no matter how much you ride a coasting bike.
fewer mechanical problems.
if the average jackass grabs your bike chances of them ahving ANY idea what they are getting into and will probably eat shit in about 100 feet.
