    I go flat fee for freelance work - that way there's no bitching about how many hours and I'm happy with what I got and can focus on doing a good job.

    I've never had a problem with a client changing things 100 times as to blow out my cost - I usually make sure I cover approx. 20% total cost for changes.

    I base my fixed quotes depending on how difficult I know the client is - ranges from $40/hr to $80/hr
