Irresponsible and possibly a bad move?
They know SUVs get shit gas mileage so they went out of their way to make them get the best in their class, and even the best above some of the other SUVs in lower classes.
They have re-designed the exterior so they can get even better gas mileage and have added a ton of safety features. Standard.
Also they plan on releasing Hybrid models in 2007.
Did you read the article cause it also said "vehicles with the 5.3-liter engine also are capable of using ethanol, which is less fuel efficient but cheaper than regular fuel and contains only 15 percent gasoline" and "GM already has 1.3 million vehicles on the road that can run on ethanol and gas and will produce up to 500,000 more next year." not to mention American made with helps the economy.
