i have a 20d and i lent it to a friend who is a die hard nikon fan (film) who wants to go digital. needless to say, he is now selling his nikon stuff and going canon. i am sure the nikon cameras are nice, but my 2 main reasons for buying the 20d over the nikons:
1- no proprietary RAW format. I love the RAW converter in PS.
2- 20d has a metal body as opposed to a lighter 'plastic' feel for the nikons. i like a camera that has some weight, it just feels more natural.
