DONT go to a photgraphic or 'retro' shop as you'll pay a fortune for one.
CHECK OUT local car boot sales. soemtimes you'll get opld grannies selling the camera plus everything else with it like projector and sometimes you can pick up loads of random old films too that they want rid of (great for random footage).
Getting the films developed is a bit pricey but is easy enough to do. its all done by kodak by post :) well handy. And no way its 6 weeks. mines was a week or two.
I got some good results once from scanning in a section of the film on a scanner and looping the sequence.
