I think the point was, Cactus, military actions (as you seem cryptically to be espousing) have done nothing but make the situation worse. Which is the point of Iraq – the Right said it was essential to go in there to “take the fight to the enemy”. This was false and has made the situation far worse. People are advising caution every time they hear “bomb them” sentiments, is all. And actually, the US hardly has a blameless record in the Middle East so maybe “European” frustration towards America exacerbating the problem, is hardly unjustified.
