This is the companies like to treat their peeps now. I was working in an agency a few years back. My wife and I were in the process of moving. She stayed home on the day before we moved, The phone had been turned off at this point. Well, i got a call from her brother at work. He told me that his/my wife's father had died. When I told my boss that i needed to go home to tell my wife her father had died, I got an earful about letting the team down, and that disciplinary action would be considered. Nice folks eh?
I feel for ya man. Just go to her. She needs you more than work right now. And if they do not like it, you will know YOU did the right thing.
