fusion also remember when you were hired the job market and the economy was in a different place, today is aanother story and i can honestly say that the previous $50k is now being sold as $75k and the previous $75 is now over $110k at least in my industry (product development) so i am going from a 5 figure to a 6 figure and when i strted my lasst job 4 years ago i wouldnt think it was a possibility to make what i am currently bringing in with even 12 years experience, and here i am at 7 years industry experience and i have a nice quality of life! also thats what it comes down to, you can always bounce to a new gig and instantly get at least $15k- $20k or you can stay and try to do it where you already are working, the latter would be more difficult because they are already slaving you, why would a raise be beneficial for them other than keeping a worker wich is extremely replaceable.

    "extremely replacable"
every company is just as every employee is as well, dont forget that!

always be positiive and life should work for you easier than not...

"you can win the lotto unles you buy the ticket"

so think it thru and make a plan before walking in and asking for more money, be prepared with your answers and be polite!

    good luck!

    :)
