I might say... "hey the new guy told me he makes twice as much even though I have been with you guys for 2 years and we both have the same experience level"
I don't know any of you, but it could be that even both of you have the same experience, his work was more appealing to your boss than yours, and on top of that, he really is a good negotiator..
Good thing that you don't drink!
