I would say I was happy with my salary but I was looking for a raise already, but I wasnt going to ask for a 100% raise!
I guess he is way better negotiator and I dont want to jeopardize his job,
I might say... "hey the new guy told me he makes twice as much even though I have been with you guys for 2 years and we both have the same experience level"
