The Bush administration presses the Pentagon and CIA to provide them with intelligence to support their claims of WMDs. The Pentagon reluctantly complies.
Collin Powell goes to the UN and presents what we now know was bogus intelligence to the world. US credibility suffers it's most serious setback in history.
Powell aid describes that day as the lowest point of his career.
Head of the CIA, Tenet takes the bullet and resigns months later.
US goes into Iraq. The war plan is basicaly a number of assumptions.
Iraqi oil will pay for reconstruction. We'll be greeted as liberators, etc.
2 years and billions of dolars later an insurgency rages on.
American troops appear to never have anticipated such a lenghty operation. Troops complain about the lack of propper equipment, namely armor for hevicles.
New Orlaens gets hit by the hurricane that has been predicted for decades.
FEMA's response, evident.
Most of the people left behind either didn't have a car to flee the city, or had nowhere to go.
