I just think the statement "Being poor is a choice." doesn't add up.
Look around - clearly it's not that simple.
To say the only reason they don't "choose" not to be poor is because it isn't easy is to imply laziness. But that doesn't explain all the people working 70 hours a week who are still poor.
So they're making bad decisions? Seems pretty stupid to "choose" to work 70 hours a week for nothing.
So poor people are either lazy or stupid?
My point is if it's a choice, then why are so many people poor?
What IS the cause?
