jazx, this is near where i live,
it is called "Stormvloedkering" to prevent us from flooding in heavy storms, like we had in 1953..
this project costs us many many BILLIONS, now that is a hell of a lot of money for such a small country as NL, even though we are not poor, there were even taxes that were raised in other to fund this mega project!
