    picasso was born in 1881, and died in 1973. he lived 92 years.

    so by your math, aliceblue, he wasn't at the top of his game for his final 36 years... where his experience would be most key. and he probably relied more on his experience than his innovation in his late years.

    yet it looks like his most innovative period began when he was 26, where experience wasn't his forte and thus he had to be super creative to make a name for himself and lock himself into history and make money.

    quailty of work aside, i'd love to know when he made the most of his money. :)
