    for me it changed how I viewed society as a whole. societal norms, what you think might be weird, all pretty much go out the window once you're there. there are no restraints whatsoever. as long as you aren't hurting anyone, it's fair game. total liberation. when I got back to reality, I suddenly realized what a boring existence I live... and it made me try a little harder to break free of the kind of restraints life inevitably casts on you. Not to the extent that I got really weird or anything... maybe it's just more of a perception thing. it just makes you aware of the structure that we all live in.

    also, for a time it restored my sense of faith in humanity. despite the massive amounts of very different people who attend, everyone coexists peacefully, with equal understanding. people are nice and friendly to you so long as you are receptive. it's refreshing, after living in LA for so long.
