Yup, unfortunately it is true. I think it'll be around till sometime next year. They made a new Velvia ISO100 that they claim has the same characterstics as the ISO50 but a stop faster. I doubt it though.
I'm stocking up on the ISO50 now, at least until I get this 5D.
