I agree, the cartoons from the past are better. However, there are some pretty great ones out there, I just don't watch them. I have younger siblings who watch them. I watched one the other day with them and was surprised at how clever everything has gotten. Sure, there are some pretty bad, cheesy ones, but a lot of the newer ones are clever. I have to keep asking my sister if she actually understood that! lol.
