I wouldn't know cuz I don't have Suitcase, but what I do know is that there are a lot of font related problems with the new OSX. Do you have a lot of fonts installed in your library? If so, maybe remove them from your lib folder then start suitcase andthen replace and organize them from there. A lot of the issues I'm seeing with other OSX stuff is because I have too many fonts active at the same time.
