    I used to have ICQ back when ICQ was still in, but never use it anymore. I like the idea of numbers, but it probably gets hard for people to remember. Not that you have to memorize user names though. MSN is what everyone is using now. AIM / iCHAT will both probably be on the sidelines for a long time.

    I'm guessing that GTalk will be popular after a few months, because it's so simple and many people are getting Gmail accounts now. GTalk is another incentive to get a Gmail account, as demonstrated by an NT user in this thread, who didn't previously have an account.

    Anyway, I have no problems with it, as long as I don't have to use 4 different instant messaging systems just to talk to a few people.
