One thing I never new about NJ was until a saw a sign by the george washington bridge, sign was something like: "New Jersey: embroidery capital of the world"
Like... I agree that the metropolitan area is pretty industrialized, and there are a lot of refineries or whatever those power plants are... but - when driving down the garden state parkway to central and south jersey, I think the place is really like a garden state. very nice.
