I discovered the same problem Visia. Not sure why, but...
With CSS you can have such great control over what prints and what doesn't.
Our law firm site currently is so wide that printing content by just hitting the print button leaves the edge of the text off on the right side.With CSS, I've declared only the main content as printable, and it prints similiar to a Word file with a larger print font. I've also figured out how to include non-site graphics into the header to contain our branding and such.
