I've had 4 Powerbooks...now looking for a good Windows laptop to run Alias Autostudio (3D modelling, not available on OSX)... but really surprised at the lack of nicely designed powerful Windows laptops... VAIO's arent really that high-end, HP/Toshiba/Dell are just ugly and depressingly bad overall product design, and most of the smaller brands that do high-spec are really really ugly and brick-like... what should I get? (£1500-2000ish)
don't need a big screen, as it will be attached to a large screen most of the time...prob 15"
or should I get a tower/workstation? Is there much advantage over a laptop for 3D work? which brand? (I dont want to build anything)
