yeah Maxtor sucks major balls.

(Jul 22 05, 08:22)I concur, I had not one but TWO 120GB SATA Maxtor's fail in the space of a year. In 15 years of computing never had a HD fail. One was under warranty and they sent out a 160GB and other people have had the same with the 120GB where they replace with a 160GB so I'm thinking that there is a flaw with the hardware as they don't replace like with like. I questioned a customer services guy at Maxtor about this but he was tight lipped about the thing and basically acted like an asshole. I pointed this out to him and hung up.
