hey Feist, its a girl. She's from Montreal, Quebec.
She's also in the canadian collective Broken Social Scene (excellent music too)

(Jul 31 05, 14:38)What benfal said. Leslie Feist is great. I especially love her song 'Mushaboom'. I definitely have to listen to her entire album sometime soon. All of my favourite bands are from Montreal, and most of them are a part of Broken Social Scene in some way or the other.
