Yeah, I'd have to agree that the guy got what he deserved.
I had to read a novel last year (in Literature class) about a woman who continually had sex with a bear. The writer made it seem like the bear actually cared about the woman, but in the end reality hits and she realizes that bears are bears, and they're not civilized.
