don't wait any longer. call your boss. don't give him time to ponder the situation of you leaving at get more and more pissed, cause then he may fire your ass just out of spite.
call him asap and explain what happened. you may have to tell a little white lie. i.e. something like 'you mom called and said he may be sick so you lost it and had to leave the office'
right now you need the job. stop fucking around and call him before he gets really pissed.
