lovely place. sofia is a crak. wrestling mafia, etc. really fun and great architecture interspersed with your average communist bloc blocks. black sea coast not to be missed, but there are some nice bits inland that aren't so... well... stereotypical. the valley of roses and the thracian kings is nice. be sure to pick up the mad rose liquor that they make there and the jam made of rose petals - mmm.... on toast for breakfast!
