ooh! chossy, i found out something the other day that will make you smile. a girlfriend of mine, right, she's from the wild tundra fields of western canada and her mum's a logger (you can't make this stuff up). so this girl (who is fucking incredible, anyway, got recruited from her phd in curatorial studies here in london to go to santa elena to found and run their first ever national art gallery and accepted before she ever even found out that it takes 14 days by boat to get to the place - that's the only way in or out and we're talking an island the size of london with about 400 people on it in the middle of the bloody atlantic) she was telling me about logging and grading wood and there's an actual measurement for wood that's only ever used for wood grading and it's called a rad! she's gonna find out for me how many centimetres are in a rad, but that could make for some mighty interesting dirty love talk, hey?
