i think it was paul rand who said this, and i cant quote it exactly, but i thought it was great!
he takes his mom to his show and she looks around and asks him... "so what do you do?"
he tells her that he "designs these pieces" so she nods and then asks "so you took the pictures?" and he says no, he hired someone else to do that.
she nods and says "so you wrote the copy?" he again says no...i someone else wrote the copy. she nods and asks again "so you hung these pieces?" he says no, i had someone else do that.his mom lowers her voice and asks him "you get paid for this?" he says yea and she whispers back smiling "you rascal!"
haha! something like taht anyway. i thought the story was priceless.
