Re is it terrorism?
Blowing people up at checkpoints while pretending to be a civilian is illegal, according to the conventions which are aimed at protecting civilians...It's OK to decieve the enemy, even dressing in civilian clothes, but illegal to use pretense of surrender as they have... because it endangers civilians.
