yeah, bro, it was an amazing show. i'm still trying to process things. they played for like an hour and a half. at the end they busted out this 25 minute jam that only stopped because the bar turned on the lights for last call. if they could have, i believe they'd still be playing that song.
before the set he was just sipping a beer in the corner singing radiohead--which was great- and then hanging out outside afterwards, we were trying to avoid being groupies but it was hard not to watch him in action, all hectic and manic and full of life. i patted him on the shoulder at one point and told him how beautiful the set was and he totally ignored it-- the same with gorbie when he tried to high five him, he just ducked under his arm and kept moving. also, the whole show he was fucking with his drummer, who looked like 20, sarcastically saying, okay, what's next genius, telling everybody hewas out getting stoned before the set and that's why he sounded lame. the thing is, the drummer rocked his ass off.
seriously, and i'm a little hung now, but it was something special, something divine.
