I was milling about my kitchen earlier cooking up some dead animal as you do, I found myself asking similar questions. I physically stopped moving at one point when I realised that there was a conversation going on inside my head that I had no control over, this happens to me all the time, isially in the morning when I am in the shower or late at night when I have gone to bed. I mean, its not that I am just thinking things over and discussing it with myself, I do that aswell and have no problem with it. Its the fact that there is a conversation happening and words appearing from nowhere, who are these people inside my head? I also have a problem of playing out conversations in my head that I am expecting to have with people, its like a game of verbal chess. I just wish I could hold it together enough to remember the witticisms and quickfire retorts when the conversation actually comes about. hmmm.
