A) It's a joke. Wow - shocking a nuculear holocaust story from an apocalyptic right wing American Christian resource. Wow. Shocking.
B) No way dos any terorist group yet (and I say "yet" ask me again in a decade) have the knowledge/ability to detonate a high yeild nuclear device of their own making, and most likely 1 chance in 10,000 of detonating a black market device, if such a device could be got. They just lack the technical expertise and structure. It takes a huge amount of capital and investment to just keep the maintenance up on these things - three guys runnin around with a nuke strapped to their back from Mexico just ain't gonna happen - yet.
C) A dirty bomb - a n explosive device with radiation IS very real possibility. But really wouldn't kill any more people than the explosive device itself. More of a psychological weapon than anything else.
D) I am far more concerned about chemical/biological weapons.
E) If by some strange twist of fate some major US city goes up in an atomic fireball by Al-Queda, I think I just might, despite my incredible peaceful nature and absolute disgust with American foreign policy in the last five years insist that we bomb the shit out of Mecca. Just fucking wipe it off the face of the earth. Such is the tragedy of human nature..
