here is some joy for you.
multi billion dollar company asks me to design a new major promotion.
ok.
i read the specks and burst out in laughter. they ask why and i just said i thought of something earlier that was funny.
the reason? well, i waited for the punchline until after i designed the ad.
basically it is for a cell phone company selling it's service. it is a great photo of a super attractive woman holding a phone and the headline "We're Cheap and We Go REAL Far." which to me sounds like the start of some 900 number late night single guy tv ad. haha.
i showed the comp yesterday, also forwarding it to the cell company involved (per their request) and they called an immediate meeting where the words 'abrasive, double meaning, trashy, and who's idea was this?!?... were thrown around. this is the second f-up in as many weeks for the suit upstairs. man i love this job.
