My friend has been living and working in Afghanistan for the last year. Should I be suspicious of her? It is ridiculous to think that anyone who visits Afghanistan should immediately raise suspicions. Why should it? The majority Afghans are lovely people and perfectly innocent. It is also a beautiful country, which has been completely f***ed up by the war (which was started by the Americans) and extremist activity. They have a bad history but it shouldn't mean that all Afghans are tarred with the same brush.
