    Some of the brutal facts:

We live in a world of invisible boundaries. Nation states and their religions have been programmed into our very DNA over billions of years. We, as humans, will always split into groups only to gleefully destroy other groups. It gives us a sense of purpose - a sense of self. We are only animals controlled by the instinct of greed and self preservation. To sit and think that this should change, that a world without war is somehow within our grasp - is futile. It will never be what you want it to be. You must realize the world for what it is - a brutal spec of sand in the incredible vastness of time and space.

This is my favorite subject. I have no idealist set of plans for human beings. No visions of a StarTrek future where money is no longer needed and all the worlds people will be feed and clothed. Not happening. Sorry.

As an athiest I look at religion as a way to control people. Is it not? Governments are sets of rules to control peole. Some rules work better than others. Americas rules have done quite well for it's population over the past 200 years.

We are like rats in a cage. Mother nature has more control over us than you think. We need control - we look for it. Mother Nature on the other hand loves chaos - two competing powers. Neither will win. Neither will lose.

Sit back and enjoy the ride!

P.S. Not big on the porn thing. Sorry. Your concept of me being some idiot from middle america who gets all his info from FoxNews just doesn't play.
